Imaging systems are the technique and process involved in creating visual representations of the interior of a body for clinical analysis and medical intervention. Medical imaging seeks to reveal the internal structures hidden by the skin and bones. Some examples of medical imaging include x-rays to determine any abnormalities, breaks or fracture of bones, ultrasound which is used to detect tissue function as well as identifying and examining the foetus within a womb or a PET, CT or MRI scans for further investigation of organs, tissues and blood vessels within the body.
