There are several ways in which the humidity level can be controlled and maintained. Not only can the humidity levels be lowered, they can also be raised to make the air more humid, for example in a greenhouse.
Humidity levels can be controlled via air conditioning within buildings, or also with dehumidifiers. Other forms of reducing humidity can be by using desiccant packages containing silica gel to absorb moisture.
Increasing humidity can be caused by using a humidifier, or even as simply as keeping house plants.
