Field hospitals are small, mobile medical units or mini hospitals that temporarily take care of casualties on-sire before they can be safely transported to a hospital. The term field hospital is commonly linked with the military, however, they can also be set up in times of natural disaster or major incidents. Field hospitals are usually a wide, tent-like structure that can be easily set up where needs be. They try to be easily visible and accessible. Medical staff within field hospitals have a mobile medical kit containing all essential supplies to treat casualties enough to stabilise them before transporting them to a larger medical facility.
