Military Motion Capture and Simulation Technology
- VIRTSIMTM– Our legacy virtual immersive training simulation was first developed for military use during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. In 2012, we began a heavy push to sell licenses to domestic law enforcement. The full system includes full-body sensors for participants, visors, virtual weapons, infrastructure such as a server and routers, and a drag-and-drop scenario creator. Although VIRTSIMTM ships with premade scenarios with integrated in-game AI / NPC characters, police departments and law enforcement agencies can create their own virtual worlds and virtual training grounds with no prior coding, script or SDK experience.
- DAUNTLESSTM– Our next generation virtual immersive training simulation is DAUNTLESSTM. This system leverages CryEngine game technology to provide cutting-edge high-resolution graphics and video game capabilities. When more than 300 NYPD Counter Terrorism Officers tried DAUNTLESSTM with the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT), it was very highly rated.
- MRI Sports – Motion Reality developed a motion capture system to analyze human motion during sport specific technique Assessment, injury Rehabilitation and performance Training (ART). ART is used by sports teams and programs to evaluate the performance training of their athletes.
As the subject moves through Motion Reality’s tether-less system, individuals can perform any motion imaginable including falling and interacting/colliding with other subjects. The system automatically captures, identifies and calculates the 3D coordinates motions of each of the markers. Using the captured 3D marker information, the proprietary full body complex mechanics approach generate true 3D full body dynamics data, which is then used to animate computer graphics characters to move exactly in a simulated environment as the real subjects moved. Essentially the whole human body becomes the user interface. Biomechanical performance data on any part of the subjects captured is available during or immediately after a motion as well as any results from the motions captured during the session. Immediate feedback enhances the training and learning experience. Motion Reality delivers systems that provide better visualization in an virtual environment and biomechanically recreates, in real-time, a person’s full 3D body motions allowing individuals to see themselves and others moving as an animated characters in a virtual environment in real-time. While the subjects move, they are totally unencumbered by wires, electronics on the body, or any restraining factors. Their full body is analyzed and recreated in 3D, providing the ability to see every conceivable view (underneath, overhead, etc.) in order to better evaluate any subject’s movements and behavior.
