About the position

An opportunity has become available for a Software Test Engineer to join our New Product Introduction Department within the Software team. The purpose of the Software Test Engineer role is to contribute to the testing and documentation of software programs as part of the product development.

An opportunity has become available for a Software Test Engineer to join our New Product Introduction Department within the Software team. The purpose of the Software Test Engineer role is to contribute to the testing and documentation of software programs as part of the product development.

Other desirable skills / acquirements

The successful candidate must have a degree in a Computing, Science, Engineering or Mathematics subject or have equivalent experience.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have an understanding of Software design methodologies notably Agile and Scrum software design principles, ISO9000 and TickIt Standards
  • Have experience of Microsoft Office and have a general understanding and use of PCs and applications
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and on their own initiative to deadlines
  • Have a flexible approach to new working practices

An understanding of Windows programming in C#, Visual Basic, C++ or any scripting language using Object oriented methodologies would be an advantage while an International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) qualification (or similar) is essential along with experience of software testing.
