ATLAS and ATLAS II: Rugged Material Handlers
The ATLAS is built to reach into trucks or shipping containers, lift loads over obstacles, and pick up loads from both above and below grade. Loads of up to 10,000 pounds can be lifted as high as 17 feet.
With four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, frame leveling and ample horsepower, these rugged telescopic handlers transport materials through uneven terrain such as snow, mud, sand, and water. The ATLAS telehandler was designed specifically to fit the requirements of the U.S. Army.
MMV: Versatile Rough Terrain Material Handler
Built to support the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force, the Millennia Military Vehicle (MMV) can reach deep into trucks or shipping containers, lift loads over trenches or other obstacles, and pick up loads from above or below grade. The MMV can also be fitted with buckets and other specialty attachments for additional versatility in the field.
With its four-wheel drive, frame leveling, and its turbo-charged engine, the MMV is made to go through uneven rugged terrain, including snow, deep mud, sand, and water. The MMV provides three steering modes in order for you to maneuver in tight spaces: crab steer, 4-wheel, and 2-wheel.
JLG markets its products and services like military forklifts, through a multi-channel approach that includes a highly trained sales force and utilizes a broad range of marketing techniques, integrated supply programs and a network of distributors in the industrial, commercial, institutional and construction markets.
In addition, JLG offers world-class after-sales service and support for its customers. JLG's manufacturing facilities are located in the United States, Belgium, and France, with sales and service operations on six continents.
Aerial Work Platforms
The military of today demands mobile, flexible, and reliable equipment that will enhance logistics and improve operational capability.
The JLG AWPs (Aerial Work Platforms) and military telehandlers are such vehicles.
They are capable of operating in all types of terrain and can reach places beyond traditional forklifts. As a multi-role vehicle, JLG telehandlers can be modified for a variety of attachments so that one vehicle can be used for many applications.
For example, the MMV can be equipped with a bucket for loading loose debris, an auger for drilling holes, a sweeper, or even a winch to utilize the vehicle as a light crane for maintenance.
For mobility, JLG military telehandlers can be airlifted in a variety of transport aircraft or hauled on flatbed trucks. To date, JLG has fielded more than 5200 military telehandlers to six different countries including the United States.
They are being operated in the mountainous terrain of Afghanistan and the deserts of the Middle East. JLG military telehandlers have been used in every battlefield environment since Desert Storm and are currently deployed in Iraq.
