Ballyclare Expands into Europe with New German Presence and Key Appointments

Leading industrial workwear specialist Ballyclare Limited has announced the creation of a new German operating company in a move that sees the Ballyclare name expand from its UK base out into the wider European market. Based in Northern Germany, Ballyclare will provide customers in the European market with access to a wide range of industrial and protective workwear, plus corporate, high visibility and waterproof/foul weather garments.

“This is great news for Ballyclare,” says UK Managing Director, Carlton Greener. “The creation of the new company marks the first appearance of the Ballyclare name in northern and central Europe and it’s made all the more appealing by the fact that we have recruited prominent European workwear specialists to lead the company. Between them, Silke Hendricks, Hansjürgen Hübner and Karin Klein Hesselink have a wealth of experience in the protective clothing industry. They’ve brought a tremendous amount of local knowledge, contacts and understanding to their new roles and their individual contributions are already helping to build a great team that will lead us forward, so we’re well placed to provide customers in this region with a first-class service.”

Although Ballyclare will initially concentrate on fire protection garments, it will also be providing a full range of high quality products for other sectors such as automotive, police, ambulance, rail and power. The company becomes the latest addition to the Uniform Brands Group, and it will provide a new European platform for other group brands such as Simon Jersey and Orcon.
