Features

The Map-Pak analysers fulfill a key requirement of the analysis of gas-flushed food packaging and have a comprehensive set of features to provide fast and accurate O2 , CO2 and N2 readings. These lightweight and portable analysers are ergonomically designed for the operator's comfort with an easy to use interface. A new needle cover, which is incorporated into the probe holder, allows users to pick up and put down the sample probe safely and with ease. This ensures numerous analyses can be taken quickly and this is coupled with the fast sensors, thus saving companies both time and money.

A minimal gas sample is required and three sample volume options are available which are selectable by the customer, based on the food packaging used. The Map-Pak has an innovative Purge Function to adapt to various gas mixtures being measured and can be programmed for gas limits whereby a PASS/FAIL message will be issued if a gas level is exceeded or is below the required level. Sample measurements and results are achieved within seconds and the user can select from and edit five Operator titles and 25 product titles.

These rugged analysers are manufactured in a strengthened ABS plastic which is both water resistant and wipe clean for hygiene purposes. With over seven hours of battery life, a fast recharge feature and an alternative mains power supply, the Map-Pak allows continuous usage in busy food production environments. Low maintenance costs and a simple one-step calibration by the operator are combined with local servicing and support for dedicated after sales care. Furthermore, Calibration Certificates are supplied with all analysers for Quality Assurance purposes to satisfy the needs of your operation.

Map-Pak Combi Gas Analyser

The Map-Pak Combi measures the Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen content in gas-flushed food packaging (the latter being as a balance gas). Using a small gas sample from the gas-flushed pack, the Combi measures and records levels of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. The levels of gas are measured using specially customised sensors; Oxygen levels are measured by an electrochemical sensor and the Carbon Dioxide levels are measured by a nondispersive infrared sensor (NDIR). An electric pump provides a small amount of gas into the sensor and the O2 and CO2 particles are detected by the respective sensors with the measurements displayed on the screen within seconds. The N2 level is then displayed as a balance gas reading.

The Map-Pak Combi can be used for all food applications, as well as some applications in the pharmaceutical industry. This lightweight portable analyser has a range of features, making it easier to use in quality control functions. Sample measurements and results are achieved within 10 seconds and the operator can modify the various features of the analyser to best suit their requirements, making the Map-Pak Combi both time and cost efficient. The multiple gases measured allow for the analysis of a wider variety of gas mixtures in numerous product lines. It offers all round quality with top of the range features which are designed to make the Map-Pak Combi user-friendly.

The Map-Pak O2is a budget-friendly analyser which measures the Oxygen content in gas-flushed food packaging. Using a small gas sample from the gas-flushed pack; the level of oxygen is measured using an electrochemical sensor. An electric pump provides a small amount of gas into the sensor and the O2 particles are detected with the measurements displayed on the screen within seconds.

As per the Map-Pak Combi, it can be used for all food applications, as well as some applications in the pharmaceutical industry with the same range of features. Sample measurements and results are achieved with ease as only one gas is being measured. The operator can modify the various features of the analyser to best suit their requirements such as high and low alarms for the Oxygen content required. This option is also available in the Combi for both the Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide readings.

Map-Pak Results and Reporting

Results can be stored in the Map-Pak devices or downloaded to a computer using the ‘MP Downloader' Software provided. Product and Operator ID's are editable for increased traceability in Quality Control monitoring. Furthermore, a small portable printer is available for the Map-Pak range to print results on receipt-size paper or labels. These three reporting features enable swift verification and in-depth reporting for a way that best suits a customer's HACCP system. The calibration certificates provided with each Map-Pak unit adheres to the Modified Atmosphere Packaging and HACCP requirements for audits with both AGC Instruments' ISO certification details along with our certified gas suppliers and comprehensive test procedures.
