The metal is carried to and from the rogue using tongs, where the metal becomes a temperature where it is easier to shape by forging. It is then carried to the smithies anvil where it is worked upon. Occasionally the workpiece will be carried to a large tub of water where it is rapidly cooled, allowing it to harden.

Casting is a process whereby molten metal is poured into a mould with contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape where it is then allowed to solidify. The casting is broken out of the mould once it is completely cooled. This is a common method in manufacturing.
