Bicycle Parts are integral as they are used to assemble and repair a bicycle. Wheels are an integral part of the bicycle, as they are the main support of the vehicle, and they assist with the movement of the bicycle. They are comprised of a metal inner wheel with spokes and an out rubber tyre, containing an inflated inner tube. The frame of the bicycle is often made from aluminium or carbon fibre, making them light and easily movable. Handlebars are used to move the bicycle, allowing the rider to change direction easily. The breaks are fitted to the handlebars, meaning that the rider can slow the movement of the bike without moving their hands far, losing balance.

Bicycle Accessories refer to additional extras that can be applied to a bicycle to enhance their usefulness, comfort, safety and visibility. Mudguards or fenders, protect the cyclist and moving parts from spray when riding through wet areas and chain guards protect clothes from oil on the chain while preventing clothing from being caught between the chain and crankset teeth. Kick stands keep bicycles upright when parked and bike locks deter theft. Front mouthed baskets, front or rear luggage carriers or racks and panniers mounted above either or both wheels can be used to carry equipment or cargo. Helmets can be used to protect the head from a crash. Baskets can be used to store items whilst the cyclist manoeuvres the bicycle.
