Airport transportation refers to the transfer of a passenger around the airport area. Shuttle busses are quite commonly used within the airport system to transport passengers from carparks to the main terminal. A passenger will book their car into an on-site car park, then wait at a designated area before catching a bus that takes them directly to the terminal. At the other end a shuttle bus will sometimes be requited to take passengers from the terminal out to the area that their aircraft is waiting as it is too far from the terminal for the passengers to walk.

PRM products and services: (Passengers with Reduced Mobility) offer services to passengers who require assistance to travel through a terminal and onto an aircraft. This can extent to anything from assistance with stairs to a wheelchair. Specialised ramps are available to assist reduced mobility passengers on and off an aircraft. Many airlines offer specialised equipment whilst on the plane, including oxygen or a specially positioned seat. Airlines will have a set of policies and procedures geared around how to best assist a reduced mobility passenger so they can pass through the terminal with as little fuss as possible.
