Direct Laser Technology
MDC Max Daetwyler AG of Bleienbach, Switzerland, the sister company of Daetwyler SwissTec AG, has confirmed a deal with Interprint USA to equip their new Pittsfield, MA manufacturing facility with Direct Laser Technology in the form of a fully automated Direct Laser Processing Line (DLS). Through the utilization of MDC’s exclusive laser engraving equipment, Interprint USA will solidify its position at the head of the decorative paper printing industry by enabling their designers to explore opportunities, take advantage of optimized design concepts, and experiment with unique imaging approaches.
Pioneering Technology For Interprint
The installation will be the second deployment of Daetwyler’s pioneering technology for Interprint, serving as a complement to the initial line previously installed in their Arnsberg, Germany facility. The additional entry into this market segment now provides global opportunities for utilising the DLS technology to enhance quality and bring new capabilities and efficiencies to the production of gravure cylinders.
Interprint joins a rapidly growing number of world-wide DLS users in all segments of the Gravure Publication, Packaging and Decorative Markets. With over 25 installations world-wide, this technology continues to provide capabilities not available by conventional means, setting a new standard in product quality for the Gravure Process.
Max Daetwyler Corporation is a market leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of pre-press systems for packaging and illustration rotogravure printing.
