Rave Computer Association
IT System Design and Manufacture
Since 1988, military and prime contractors have turned to Rave Computer Association to design and manufacture computer systems for such crucial projects as the U.S. Air Force RC-135 Reconnaissance Aircraft, the U.S. Navy EP-3E Surveillance Aircraft, and the U.S. Navy Technology Insertion LA and VA class submarines.
Why have so many military contractors relied on Rave to do so much for them? Our experience, creativity, and flexibility are unmatched. When you work with Rave, you can always be confident...
We Start From Your Point of View. Most integrators build their systems in an R&D environment and so have a vested interested in pushing those systems onto the customer, whether or not they are the best fit for your needs.
Rave doesn't believe in a one-size-fits-all template. We often work with customers at the proof-of-concept phase and then identify the best solution to meet the requirements of their specific project.
Sometimes that means finding the best products already available in the marketplace, leveraging our strong relationships with top technology vendors. Sometimes that means modifying those products. And sometimes that means building from scratch. But it always means finding the best solution to fit your needs at the best possible price.
We Customize to Your Specific Requirements. Military requirements tend to be unique, so you need an integrator with a proven ability to provide custom products to specific requirements. For two decades, companies have relied on Rave's mechanical and electrical engineers for creative solutions to complex problems.
Consider the U.S. Air Force RC-135 Reconnaissance Aircraft, which needed an 18-inch chassis that weighed less than 30 pounds and could run both Windows and Linux with dual processors.
After searching the commercial marketplace and finding no such chassis available, Rave engineers built one to custom specs. The Air Force was so pleased that Rave was asked to construct seven more customized chassis' for different parts of the "Big Safari" plane.
Rave produces high-quality standard systems to meet MIL-SPEC requirements, stressing flexibility and customization in design.
We Give You the Security of Vast Military Experience. Since 1988, Rave has designed and manufactured countless rugged COTS rack-mounted systems that meet the most stringent requirements for U.S. military projects.
Our projects are carefully designed to meet the following specifications: size and footprint requirements, weight limits, standardization, volumetric air flow, EMI, cable harness requirements for copper to optical conversions, customization, and more.
We've handled everything from NE&SS surface systems and guided missile carriers to nuclear aircraft carriers and underwater C41 "System of Systems Solutions." We understand the special requirements of military projects and know how to work with your team to deliver what's expected and more than expected efficiently and economically.
We Give You Access to Top Vendors. Rave has strong ties to leading vendors, like Sun, AMD, Intel, and Microsoft. Our close relationships with these vendors' engineers gives us another avenue to solve issues quickly and to guide you on where technology is heading. That helps reduce your risk obsolescence and ensures you have access to the technology you need when you need it.
We Pledge an Ongoing Commitment to Quality. We are an ISO 9001:2000 certified company with state-of-the-art ESD-certified facilities, implementing Six Sigma methodology to ensure the highest level of quality. Rave has a mandate of company-wide quality control, with manufacturing processes that are constantly refined.
You can count on Rave to provide multi-vendor product testing to ensure quality and system compatibility. We maintain a core competency focus that results in increased operating performance.
