Military Aircrew Training

As an experienced military training systems integrator we provide cost-effective, proven training systems and training services designed to enhance pilot or aircrew skills.
L-3 Link can operate training schoolhouses for fixed wing, rotary wing and unmanned aircraft platforms. We apply proven instructional technology in designing, developing and implementing cost-effective schoolhouse solutions.
Working closely with our customers, we begin by defining training requirements, developing performance-based training objectives and arriving at an optimum mix of training media required to deliver effective instruction.
Next we select from a full range of products and services – from computer-based training to full mission simulators – to deliver solutions that produce mission ready aircrews.
Fixed Wing Training Systems & Simulators

At L-3 Link we design, develop and field cost-effective training systems and flight simulators that produce mission-ready personnel.
L-3 Link employs the most capable aircrew training systems operations and management team within the military training and simulation industry. This is being underscored today on aircrew training programs for the E-3, E-6B, E-8 and C-27J. In addition, L-3 Link is the leading provider of innovative flight simulation technology solutions for fixed wing platforms including the F-22, B-2, F/A-18, and F-16.
Rotary Wing Training Systems & Simulators
(AH-64A/D, UH-60, CH-47, OH-58D)
L-3 Link has been a leading supplier of advanced rotary wing flight simulation solutions for decades and today we are providing the U.S. Army with distributed training capabilities to enhance unit level and combined arms training.
L-3 Link has delivered 23 suites of reconfigurable manned modules for the U.S. Army's Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer. In further support of the U.S. Army, L-3 Link has delivered over 30 training devices to the service’s Flight School XXI program.
In support of these programs we have delivered or are in the process of building training devices to support simulation of the UH-60A/L, CH-47D/F, AH-64A/D and OH-58D.
L-3 Link is positioned to provide rotary wing simulation solutions to support attack, reconnaissance and utility helicopters worldwide.
Unmanned Aircraft Simulators
(MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper)
L-3 Link, as prime contractor on the U.S. Air Force’s Predator Mission Aircrew Training System (PMATS) program, continues to deliver and upgrade the first high fidelity training systems ever used to train U.S. military unmanned aircraft crews.
PMATS units today are being used to train aircrews that operate the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper platforms.
Each PMATS ground control station simulator accurately replicates mission environments Predator and Reaper aircrews experience in real world operations. Pilots and sensor operators undergo initial qualification, mission qualification, continuation and mission rehearsal simulation-based training.

In addition to managing and operating aircrew training systems, L-3 Link provides expeditious maintenance coupled with sound engineering to support high-fidelity simulation and training device availability. We provide this reliable and quality service by delivering rapid and cost-effective support through a responsive management, engineering and logistics team.
The Training Support Services L-3 Link provides today include modifications, concurrency and configuration management, hardware and software integration and test, operations and maintenance service, depot repairs, inventory and spares services, on-time logistics support and swift program and site mobilization.
In addition to its Training Support Services capabilities, L-3 Link also provides program management and overall support on major military aircraft contractor logistics support programs.
