Military Data Buses - MIL-STD-1553

DDC develops, designs, and manufactures innovative and high quality military data buses and solutions. We offer interface cards and supporting software for MIL-STD-1553 and multi-I/O MIL-STD-1553 / ARINC 429 systems for the military, aerospace, and commercial marketplace.

DDC is a well-known supplier in the avionics industry, and our MIL-STD-1553 Designer’s Guide is considered the industry standard for avionics engineers. The ACE, Mini-ACE, and Enhanced Mini-ACE family of 1553 microelectronic devices are embedded in equipment throughout the industry, and are the backbone of our PC boards that are used in test and onboard computers.

Avionics Data Bus Interfaces - ARINC 429

Our innovative board- and component-level products are designed for the commercial, military and aerospace marketplace, and are used in onboard or laboratory applications in ARINC 429 avionics systems. Many of our avionics data bus interfaces are multi-protocol and can be used in both ARINC 429 and MIL-STD-1553 systems.

Software support for our interface cards include data loaders, data analyzers, monitors, simulators, and SDKs for use with Windows®, Linux®, VxWorks®, and LabVIEW®.

Synchro / Resolver Conversion Products

DDC offers a broad range of Synchro / Resolver conversion instrument-grade cards, including angle position indicators and simulators, as well as supporting software to meet today’s MOTS / COTS needs. Card form factors include PCI, PMC, PC/104, ISA, VME and VXI with support for Windows® 95/98/2000,

Windows NT®, Linux, LabVIEW®, and VxWorks®.

Our Synchro / Resolver-to-Digital (S/D or R/D) and Digital-to-Synchro / Resolver (D/S or D/R) microelectronic devices are the smallest, most accurate converters available, and are the building blocks for DDC’s card-level products.

Most of these single chip and hybrid components are based on custom monolithic designs, and are the most reliable converters ever offered. Many synchro / resolver conversion products are available with MIL-PRF-38534 processing.

Military and industrial applications include radar, IR, and navigation systems, fire control, flight instrumentation/simulators, motor/motion feedback controls and drives, and robotics systems.

Solid-State Power Control (SSPC / RPC) Solutions

SSPCs and RPCs are field proven devices that replace traditional electromechanical relays and circuit breakers in power distribution systems. These products are very reliable, and offer highly accurate trip protection with solid-state reliability.

DDC was the first to offer commercial and fully qualified MIL-PRF-38534 and Class K Space-level screening for Solid-State Power Controllers (SSPCs) and Remote Power Controllers (RPCs). Extremely dependable, these products are used in the Bradley fighting vehicles and M1A2 tank.

Our SSPCs and RPCs support computer control and real-time digital status reporting, and are equipped with instant trip and true I2T wire protection. We offer custom SSPC / RPC modules that are rated up to 300 amps. DDCs multi-channel boards are rated up to 25 amps per channel, and are excellent cost effective solutions.
