The Diver Propulsion Device (DPD) is a two man, high performance military diving vehicle that combines advanced hydrodynamic design with a state-of-the-art propulsion system in one efficient, versatile, proven package.
The Diver Propulsion Device (DPD) was designed in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) requirements and as such it is optimized for military applications. Specifically, the Diver Propulsion Device’s (DPD) interior cargo payload capacity, high accuracy onboard mission planning / submerged navigation system, and ability to convert from a deployed rapid operation mode to a stowed lightweight space-saving transportation mode have made it the Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) of choice for SOF units worldwide.
The Diver Propulsion Device (DPD), after exhaustive testing and evaluation, is the only Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) available with the following military certifications: US Navy Approved for Navy Use (ANU) listing, SOF Carry-On Authorization, and US Navy 9310 Authorization.
In August 2010 STIDD Systems, Inc, Greenport, NY, received a $3.5 million dollar award under GSA Contract No: GS-07F- 0101K to provide 24 of its Diver Propulsion Devices (DPD) to US Naval Special Warfare Command. In addition to the DPD units, the contract included complete sets of DPD options and accessories.
Multi-Role Combatant Craft (MRCC)
The Multi-Role Combatant Craft (MRCC) is a unique surface planning wet submersible that provides SOF Operators 4 distinct operational modes: surface, semi-submerged, submerged, and bottom cache.

Powered on the surface and semi-submerged by a turbo-diesel waterjet propulsion package in a pressure proof “Engine–Room-in-a-Can” container, resulting in long range and reduced acoustic and thermal observability. Submerged power is delivered from battery powered high efficiency electric thrusters.
An Integrated Bridge System (IBS) provides Forward-looking SONAR, Flat Screen Displays, Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) and Navigation.

The Multi-Role Combatant Craft (MRCC) was developed in support of United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) requirements and is currently the only surface planning wet submersible of its type in full rate production.
Diver Navigation System
RNAV provides combat divers both missionplanning and high accuracy navigationcapabilities
STIDD designed and developed Diver Navigation Systems including the Recon-Navigation System (RNAV) to address SOF user’s requirements for submerged diver navigation. The Recon-Navigation System (RNAV) transforms a standard Diver Propulsion Device (DPD) into the functional equivalent of a two-man one-quarter Swimmer Delivery Vehicle (SDV) at a small fraction of the price and maintenance cost.
The Recon-Navigation System (RNAV) can upload mission planning data from a laptop or download completed mission tracks to a laptop via its remote memory card reader. Mission planning data is displayed on a high-visibility moving map display and can be easily modified enroute through a gloved-hand pushbutton interface. The Recon-Navigation System's (RNAV) real-time position information, bottom contour tracking, leg and mission timers all assist in ensuring extremely accurate submerged navigation. The addition of a Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) has made the STIDD Recon-Navigation System (RNAV) the most capable, military grade Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Diver Navigation System available.
